Bridging Courses

1 year · 1–3 subjects · 3-month periods

For you if your KCSE grade in one or two subjects is short of what a health programme needs. Fix the grade, then apply.

KES 30,000–65,000 for the year · 1–3 subjectsPriced per subject, not per trimester: 1 subject KES 30,000, 2 subjects KES 50,000, 3 subjects KES 65,000. Plus KES 1,000 one-off registration.

All figures are indicative — 2026 approved structure; confirm with the Finance Office. Meals and boarding are not included and are optional: KES 7,500 and KES 22,500 per trimester (bridging: KES 3,000 and KES 5,700 per month). Every programme starts on the same date — 1 September 2026. Except for ICT, the first trimester costs more than the rest because registration, caution money (refundable), uniform/lab coat, the medical examination on admission and the Hepatitis B vaccine are charged once.

Bring originals when you report: birth certificate, National ID or passport, KCPE and KCSE certificates, KCSE results slip, primary and secondary leaving certificates, and an affidavit for any name change.

Fees must be cleared by the end of the 2nd month of each trimester. Unpaid fees bar a student from block exams and assessments.

We are also a NITA trade testing centre

You do not have to be one of our students to use it.

Skillwave runs Care Giver II and other NITA courses, assessed by NITA rather than TVET CDACC. Ask the office which NITA courses are running.

Skillwave is a registered NITA centre and an approved trade testing centre. NITA trade tests certify practical skill in a trade — Grade III, then Grade II, then Grade I — and they are open entry: there is no KCSE grade requirement, only demonstrated competence.

That matters most for people who already have the skill but nothing on paper. If you learned your trade on the job or through apprenticeship, a trade test turns that experience into a national certificate you can show an employer, use to bid for work, and build on towards a Level 4 or Level 5 qualification.
